RdG introcuces Himself:
I am Randy Galloway, a
rising artist from Daytona Beach, Florida.
I recently became interested and
involved with the music business; however, music has always been my passion.
I began playing drums in
church when I was 5 years old. My grandfather is a professional drummer for
over 50 years and he has been a great inspiration. I was introduced to the
saxophone in the 5th grade. In middle school, I was the only 6th grader in my
marching band which was a blessing. I was also a section leader of the
saxophones during my eight grade year. Currently, I play keyboard and I like to
create my own beats.
I sing and I can rap. I
also like to write poetry and I’ve become quite good. I CAN DO IT ALL!!
Between music and poetry, something will work out for me.
Thanks for taking the time
to learn all about me, Randy Galloway aka RdG. This goes out to everyone that
already knows about me and to those who are about to find out. Check out my
official website at www.rdgproductions.com.
Thanks for
your support! Look for me in the future!
I have many hobbies, but above all music is my favorite. When you think of
music, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For me, music consists of
playing a musical instrument, like the keyboard, drums, piano, or even arranging
and/or writing my own music.
At the age of five, I played drums for the
church choir. It was good being introduced to music at an early age. I don't
think I understood this as a beginning of my musical journey, but it was a lot
of fun and that’s all that matters.
Fifth grade is where music became
serious for me. I learned how to play the saxophone. On that day, nothing was
going to hold me back from mastering this instrument. I made up my mind and I
focused and worked hard to achieve my goal. Practice was held three days a week
to help with the basics and the strategies that were needed for improvement. My
middle school years were exciting also. In sixth grade, I was the only sixth
grader in marching band. That was really a blessing.
During my high
school years I joined the Daytona Beach Youth Orchestra. It was a great
opportunity for me to experience a different style of music. I performed in
numerous concerts and during the summer of 2001 I traveled to Italy. Two local
orchestras combined and called ourselves the Florida Young Artist Orchestra of
America. We performed concerts with Italian musicians, appeared on television,
and were featured in news articles throughout Italy and Central Florida. It was
fun and I had one of the best travel experiences of my life.
During my
junior year of high school things began to change. I stopped playing the
saxophone, which lead me into a new style of music. I wanted to learn how to
write music and learn how to produce instrumentals. I practiced on my keyboard
thinking of ways to enhance my musical ability. I took a keyboarding class
during my senior year and after a short while I became good at it. Now I'm
writing my own music, producing, singing, rapping and just doing the best at
what I can do. “I can do the whole nine.” All things are possible!
